I'M BACK!!

Good morning everyone!! Sorry I haven't done any posts recently - I have just closed down my hairdressing business.  I was having major issues with the owner/agent and very undesirable people living above my shop and the shops next door. I just had to get out. I am now looking for a job but am going to go back to office work which is what I did before hairdressing. Fingers crossed that I get something soon!!

Anyway, I have done a couple of cards. The first one is made with one of the squares from Lili of the Valley (oh, I love that company!!!). No colouring in for this one - just a bit of embossing and stuck together and there we go! Easy peasy, lemon squeezie!!

Whoo's Birthday?

Hi. This is my third post for today. This is another card for a customer. It is for her friend back in the UK who loves owls.

I haven't got the tags from the stamps so I don't know who they are made by - sorry. I coloured with ProMarkers. The DP is from a local store in a sale (I do love my crafty bargains!!) for 29c.

I also made this cute little bookmark for one of the Representative netball players that I umpire for.

Madison's Card

Teddy Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone. This is the first of three posts for me today (I have been busy!!!). They are all cards I have been asked to make for my customers.

The stamp is by LOTV. This was my first attempt at an "out of the box" die cut (thanks to the Quick Flick Video by Bev Rochester - Bev is awesome!!!). I love how it turned out. I coloured him in with my ProMarkers. 

The papers from a stash I got from Spotlight the other day. They very kindly sent me a $10 gift voucher for my birthday (which is next Friday!!!) and I managed to get a 12" x 12" pad of 148 sheets of pastel basics down from $20 to $14 to $10 so it didn't cost me anything!!! Don't you love a bargain??

Deckchair Dreaming

I hope you all had a great Easter. We had a really busy weekend. I enjoyed the time off and spending time with my hubby. He does get neglected while the netball season is on!!

Lost my mojo a little bit over the last couple of weeks but did manage to make this card. Wasn't too happy with it when I first did it, but it is growing on me! Hope you like it!

Birthday Bunny!

Hello everyone.

I've been a bit sick this last week with a vertigo/inner ear thingymajigy!  Better now though!

Have made a couple of cards this week.  Been looking on Pinterest a fair bit and found some inspiration on there. If you haven't joined the Pinterest world yet, what are you waiting for???

Well anyway, this is the first one.  I have a new Big Shot machine and I LOVE IT!!!

My stamp is by LOTV and the embossing is done with the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder.  Coloured with my ProMarkers of course!  The rest of the stuff was from my stash.

This is the second one, inspired by Pinterest.

Used my Big Shot again and also my new border punch. The flowers, button and twine are from my stash.

And the last one was also inspired by Pinterest. A friend gave me a few doilies. They are smaller than the picture I saw on Pinterest so I just made my card a bit smaller. I stamped and cut out a butterfly. It looked a bit blank with nothing on it, so I stamped a few more. A couple went a bit wonky but I am fairly happy with the end result.

Lion Birthday

Card for Karen's Mum

My friend, Karen, has asked me to make a 70th birthday card for her mum. She asked for purple and butterflies. This is my card I have made for her.

I searched on Google for a square sketch and found a great one by PinkPiggyWiggy (many thanks Dawny P xx)

The stamp is from LOTV. The DP and sentiment are from Kaisercraft. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The branches are from my Stampin' Up Two Step Bird Punch. The butterfly is the Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly Punch. The lace is from World of Lace (who is an absolutely wonderful English man who has a stall at Carrara Markets on the Gold Coast). I made my own twine with some cross stitching twine. Coloured in with ProMarkers and KindyGlitz.

Penguin Card

Well, I didn't think I would have time to make a card today. I had a last minute cancellation this morning so thought I would do a bit of stamping! I bought this cute little penguin stamp from Kaisercraft last weekend - paper pieced him onto white, blue and stripey DP from my stash. A little bit of KindyGlitz on his hat and nose and there we go!

Mother's Day Card

Good morning. Well, I have had a very busy weekend. I watched my AFL team, Gold Coast Suns, at the first round of the NAB Cup on Saturday night. Sunday was a very early start. Got picked up at 6.30am to go and umpire at a Netball Carnival for Southport Carrara Under 16's Premier League Team. They did really well. Won two of their games, lost two games by one goal and one by four goals! Well done girls! Was in bed by 7.30pm on Sunday!!! Another night of netball on Monday. Umpired three games and played too. Lost by four! Bummer!

I got really good news yesterday when I logged onto Dustin Pike. My dinosaur card won random prize on their recent challenge!!! Woo hoo!! Go me!!

Anyway, back to work today. Not too busy, so managed to make my Mother's Day card for my beautiful mum, who is back in England.

The digital stamp is by Pollycraft, coloured with ProMarkers and KindyGlitz.  The DP was from Kaisercraft. The lace is my old stash, as is the ribbon. The pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Hugs and Kisses

This is my very first monochromatic card!! I enjoyed making this one. Need a bit of work on my colouring but reasonably happy with it.  My digital stamp is Twiddly Wings - Flowers by Pollycraft.  The papers, ribbon, buttons and sentiment are from my stash. Baptism Card

One of my friends has asked me to make a Baptism card for her Grandson, Alexander.  I have used stickers from the Stampers Hut and a sketch by Taylored Expressions, TECC51. The large cross was stuck onto cream card. The sentiment was done on my computer.

Feeling tired and weary today after three nights of netball and a night of strength and conditioning! Only half a day left at work for this week - thank goodness.

8th Wedding Anniversary

It is our 8th Wedding Anniversary on Monday, 6th February. I can't believe where the time has gone. We have been together for 14 years next week!!! I am still very much in love with my husband and he is the best thing that ever happened to me (apart from my son of course!!).

I made my card for Paul this week. I hope he likes it!!

Happy Birthday Millie!

New Year, New Me!

Happy New Year!!

I know it's a bit late but I've been busy at work and getting back to my netball and fitness.

Had my first strength and conditioning class (along with around 40 under 19s!!!) last Wednesday. I couldn't even bend down to pick up my shoes Thursday and Friday!!!! By the end of the 8 week course, I will be fit and skinny (hopefully!!!). At least I'll be able to run better to umpire and play netball though!!!

Anyway, back to my card making. I haven't made many yet this year.

I have made this card for one of my hairdressing customers who is getting married on 4 February 2012 after being with her partner for over 25 years!! Wow! I would like to enter it into the CAS-ual Fridays CFC36 Challenge "Penguin Suit", black and white only.
